Gasworks Park

Dozer just had some pictures taken from an amazing pet photographer, Jamie (cowbelly.com), he had such an amazing time and she captured his energy and personality perfectly.

I was so impressed by Jamie's pictures of Dozer that I also commissioned her to do a decopaw art piece of Dozer from one of the photos she took. I'm hoping to get the proofs this weekend and am looking forward to picking out which one I want.

Here are some pictures from our day with Jamie and Gasworks Park in Seattle.

The last picture is Dozer's pleading face - he's got that look down pat.

Oh Canada!

Last year we went to the suspension bridge and tree village in Canada. It was such a beautiful day and we had such a great time that I was hoping to make a yearly ritual of us going to Canada.

I'm thinking that this year we go to Whistler for a ski weekend. I can just see us curled up by a fire with a glass of wine after a long day of skiing.

There are also some great spas there so I can sneak off and get a great facial and body wrap while the hubby takes on some of the harder runs that I'm terrified to try.

Elopped

On August 10, 2007 we finally got married. It only took us 3 years to finally tie the knot. We were planning a destination wedding but with Stacy now having Jacob full-time that wasn't as easy as we had originally planned. Therefore we found a great bed and breakfast and elopped!

The Run of the River Inn in Leavenworth was where we choose to elope, they made everything so easy...the minster, photographer everything was taken care of all we had to do was show up. The room that we had was amazing. Georgeous view, king size bed, fire place, jacuzzi tub and my favorite was the rain shower (we so need one of those).

We spent 3 days there and it was just what we needed. It was so relaxing, we went biking, shopped, and went river tubbing (something we plan on doing every year from now on). Things had been so stressed with us now having Jacob full-time, especially for me since I've never had a child full-time so this was just what we needed a simple stress free wedding just the two of us and a long weekend to unwind.

My Dozer

I can't believe that he's almost 6 months old, I remember when we first got him at 6 weeks. We were so worried that he was going to be a handful and we were right he is but we wouldn't give him up for the world.

He's the most stubborn, energetic and yet loving puppy. He can't not get excited when he sees someone, even if he's never meet them before. Everyone is a new opportunity for him to find someone to love on and play with.

Dozer is a mutt, Lab and German Shephard mix that we picked up at the parking lot of a store. There was a lady "giving" away puppies for a small fee from the back of her truck. On our way out of the store I saw one of the puppies out of the corner of my eye and me being me I couldn't pass by without at least petting them. My husband wasn't that interested in the puppies so we were getting ready to leave not thinking we'd be taking one home with us. That's when Dozer came up to the back of the truck and started pawing at me and looking up at me with his sweet big eyes. Once I picked him up he fell right to sleep in my arms. I looked over at my husband and he was handing the lady money. He knows me so well that he knew there was no way I was leaving without this puppy.

Dozer has completely taken over since we brought him home. He has run of the house, goes to work with me at the office, sleeps between mommy and daddy at night (he has to be in the middle or he can't sleep), and has us at his beck and call when he rings his potty/outside bell.

Sometimes I look at him when he's sleeping or chewing on his toy being an angel and am suprised how much I've come to love this pup...I never thought I'd be one of those people where their dog was like family I just assumed if I got one they would be just a pet and no more. Boy was I wrong!
