Ginger Bread House

This year’s Ginger Bread House. Last year was Jacob's first year living with us and his first year making a Ginger Bread House, let's just say that this year’s GB House is more structurally sound then last years...

Almost looks too good to eat... almost

Snow Days!

It hasn't snowed like this is years and I decided that was a good enough reason to play hooky and stay home and play in the snow with the pups.

This was Kyah's first snow and she LOVED it. It was impossible for us to get her to come inside even to eat and let's just say that my girl ejoys a good meal so her willingness to forgo food to play in the snow is saying a lot.

The Husky Santa hat that Kyah has in one of the pictures is my stepson's. Kyah had been eye balling it all day and finally when Jacob went to pick up something she grabbed it off his head and went sprinting off. It took Jacob almost 30 minutes of chasing her to get it back. I of course was no help at all since I was to busy laughing the whole time.

Seems Kyah is a UW fan, what can I say, like mother like daughter

Gift from Grandma

My mother dropped off a figurine for the baby's room. I'm not much into figurines but she's having more fun then I am when it comes to the baby so the rule in our house is that anything Grandma gets for the baby we will be ok with.

It's actually kind of cute...

Crib Bedding

We don't know if we are going to have a girl or a boy but I just can't help myself I keep looking at baby stuff. So since we don't know the sex of the baby I've been looking at stuff for both a girl and a boy.

Either we are going to go with lots of color in the nursery or we are thinking of going neutral and adding colored accessories to make the room pop.

First Kiss

Such a cute picture of my little girl and her first kiss, with one very happy bulldog (as you can tell by the 2nd photo that kiss made his day).

Thanksgiving is just around the corner

I'm already thinking about everything I've got to get and do to get ready to host it at my house this year. I'm thinking that these salad plates from Pottery Barn with my white dinner plates would be perfect to give my table setting a bit of color and pop without going overboard.

I'm also loving the white pumpkin soup tureen and bowls at William Sonoma Home. It's also something I could used for dinner parties and even for Christmas dinner. I love that the pumpkins are white because that means I can use them for other events and go with different color schemes.

Halloween Costumes

This year I decided that everyone in the house needs costumes for Halloween, that means the dogs too. I was going to at first make Kyah a bubble bee and Dozer a bat but now I'm thinking Kyah is going to be the bat and Dozer a hotdog.

Isn't that the saddest looking bubble bee you have ever seen? I think the hotdog is getting a little chunky, I've got to get people to stop giving him so many treats, even when he gives them his cute pleading face.

Sheep Herding

We've now been down to Ewetopia in Roy twice with the dogs for sheep herding lessons. We aren't expecting the dog to be herding dogs or to win any competitions, it's just something they seem to enjoy and it gets them mentally and physically exhausted. Tired puppies of course are always a good thing.

This last Saturday when we went down the dogs where controlled by the handler using he sheep rod so it was a bit more for them to process, however they both did great.

Dozer has a strong presence about him so he did not have to be right by the sheep in order to keep them close to the handler. Kyah on the other hand is still all puppy and not sure of herself yet so she went crazy and charged the sheep head on, though getting wacked on the head caused her to back off a little.

I'm thinking it is time for another road trip

This time no kids! Ok they weren't that bad but hours on the road with kids even when they are trying to be good is still not that fun, especially when it is hot outside.

This year I'm thinking fall road trip, now my only question is where?

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm really looking forward to some snow. I didn't get to do much skiing last year so I can't wait to get up to the mountains and gets some runs in.

Dozer of course loves the snow too so we take him on some of the back runs and let him run down the hill, not sure how Kyah is going to react to snow but if she's anything like her brother than she'll love it.

Tulip Festival

I love flowers and have them all over the house so of course it is a given that every year we head over to the Tulip Festival. Not exactly Stacy's cup of tea but he's never complains and goes with me every year and I love him even more for it, especially since he buys me all the tulips I want and that's a lot of tullips.

Long Beach

Over the summer we packed the dogs into the car and took a drive down to Long Beach. Can you believe that Stacy had never seen the actual ocean with sandy beaches (he's originally from Iowa ). He and Dozer where like kids playing in the surf, running all over the sand and just having so much fun.

I love watching my manly husband playing with Dozer it's been such a suprise to see how sweet and sensetive he is to the pup, I don't know what either of them would do without the other.

Kyah on the other hand wasn't having any of it. She liked the sand and water for about 2 seconds until she got sick of the wind blowing at her. I turned around to see where she was at and what do I see but my girl walking towards are backpack and laying down. It's so hard to be a Diva.

Really into bracelets lately

For some reason I'm loving bracelets lately and am looking at adding these to my collection....

The newest to my purse collection

I have been looking for a great red purse and wanted something unique and yet classy. I think I nailed it with the Botkier Essex bag.

I also wanted something different that I could use on a daily basis and still look pulled together and that is where the grey Botkier Sophie bag came in to play.
