Fighting off sleep

Now that Samuel is noticing things around him he's been a bit harder to get to sleep because he keeps trying to fight it because he doesn't want to miss out on anything. This is his face when he's tired but doesn't want to sleep.

So many cute costumes out there but with Samuel not even 2 months old yet we decided to skip the elaborate costumes and stick with comfort but he does make one cute skeleton.

Sweet Dreams

Samuel's newest thing is sleep smiling. He'll be completely asleep and if I whisper "I love you always and forever" he smiles in his sleep. I'm pretty sure it's because he remembers me telling him that everyday when I was pregnant with him.

I can't remember what life was like before he came along but I am sure it wasn't as great as it is now.

So HARD

I had to go back to work today and it was one of the hardest things I've had to do leaving Samuel behind. Daddy is at home for the week so I know Samuel is fine but my arms are aching to hold him and to kiss his chubby cheeks.
